I was born during the summer of 1977 year in the capital of my country Bulgaria, Sofia. My name is Martin Nasim I am a son of two cultures. My father is from Afghanistan and my mother is from Bulgaria. Now we all live in sunny San Diego, California.
I was drawing as far as I remember and it had been always interesting to me. In my teen years I fall in love with black and white photography which I study for 5 years along with the school. I won special prize in International Assemble of photography 1996 organized by the Red Cross. After the military my life went in different directions searching for my way but always drawing small designs and paintings mostly with pencils and black marker. I have been always close to my artistic side. I start tattooing back in 2004 and now I am a professional tattoo artist and self-thought painter inspired by things I nature that I observed, rearranged trough my own thought-interpretation, love to find solutions with help of my imagination. One media I use is paint markers and Plexiglas for canvas, the other one is needles and skin but each piece gives me energy of new love I am creating. Sometimes when I paint I just see the image, sometimes I have no idea what is coming next or going to happen, sometimes it’s just relaxing. My canvas no matter skin, Plexiglas, paper is like my personal diary and I want to share my art journey trough life with who thinks its interesting finding it inspiring and touching.
